As most of you know, IW released the Variety Mack Pack on the morning of the 4th; I woke up just as it came out apparently, wonderful! I was so amped when I started up the game, I knew Carentan by heart so Chinatown was butter at first (hint, hint) and the other maps didn’t take too long to get used to; overall I feel my purchase was justified and I’m pleased by it. Frontlines: Fuel Of War has some problems with the multiplayer aspect of the game such as having a horrible chat system, and getting spawned camped constantly.
Thankfully, Kaos is releasing a patch to fix most of the problems with the game.

Only one song this week but most Portal fans will love it. Yes, Still Alive by GlaD0s and Jonathan Coulton (master) is the song of the week and guess what? It’s free. The song will be available April 1st for 360 only as of now due to Sony upgrading their store.
The final Pre-Release GTA IV trailer has been released.

Rapper 50 Cent will be making another video game appearance, in his new sequel, 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand. Blood On The Sand will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime this fall.

The four maps were sent off today to Microsoft for certification. We can expect to see them April 3rd or 4th costing 800 MP. The was also an issue with the clan tags where players could put in button symbols like Left Stick etc… and this has caused Infinity Ward to pull the special characters. This has been fixed and is going to be in the DLC. New pics and descriptions of the maps after the break.

A few days ago, we told you the final Legendary map would be a remake of Lockout, and we were right.
Bungie has just revealed the last map, which is titled Blackout. Blackout’s architecture is basically the same as Lockout’s, but Blackout is set at night on a human weather station. Read more to see pictures of this great new map.

Live-360 takes a look at the Xbox 360 Achievement. This one idea has completely changed gaming forever and has been a stimulus to rental services across the world.
Why are we so addicted to them? What drives people to great lengths just to get more points? In this story we will investigate this and more.

Clearing out buildings, overlooking the lit up city in Nevada, and a compelling story line are three great features in the franchise. But could it be repetitive the second time around? See what Live-360 gives Ubisoft’s second title in the Vegas series after the break.

As most of you already know, on April 15th the Xbox Live Marketplace will welcome the Legendary map pack for 800 points. It will include 3 maps, two of which, Ghost Town and Avalanche, have already been announced. The third and final map will be officially announced Tuesday, however we now know it will be another remake.

We’re all paying for XBOX Live here. Other consoles have inferior, but free online gaming features. The PC has free and much superior online play. So my question is why do we continue to pay for a service that doesn’t even have a server for an individual game? When Halo 3 came out, Live froze every 5 seconds, because of the load of new users. Since we are paying $50 each, why can’t Microsoft buy every game a server?

Just a reminder to those that have not purchased the pack already, the heroic maps will be free on Tuesday, March 25 at 2 AM Pacific. As of the April playlist, the Heroic Map Pack will be required to play Ranked Big Team, Social Big Team, Team Slayer, and Rocket Race. Heroic Map pack trailer after the jump.

All six songs this week are the original recordings. The pack will be set at 800 Points ($10) with each song being 160 points ($2).
