The announcement has been made of the funny looking keyboard for the Xbox 360 (finally!). The Microsoft “Chatpad” as it has been dubbed will plug into the bottom of your controller and let you chat with messenger without the need to use that annoying on screen keyboard.

The unit is being bundled with a headset (I’m not totally sure why, I already have enough of those) and it will be selling for US$29.99. While this isn’t a totally unreasonable price I was expecting to see it just a tad cheaper. Still I will be on the hunt for one when they are released, which at this point in time has been put down for September 4th.
