This arcade game was based off the TV series and made by Sierra Online. We got two codes, one to do a review on and one to give away to you guys. To win all you need to do is post a comment with your gamertag in it and we will randomly choose a winner on Monday.
On to the review. Battlestar Galactica consists of 10 single player missions, a few instant action game types, and up to 4 v 4 multiplayer on Xbox Live. I’ve played through half of the missions and this is what i have come up with.
This is a really fun game but can be challenging at times, you really have to be good at this type of game to like it. I for one am not very good at the game so i am having some troubles. The missions are pretty well thought out and balanced making it not easy but not impossible to finish. Out of the 5 I’ve played none of them were alike besides the fact that you blow up enemy ships each time.
The graphics are pretty standard for an arcade game but there is one exception. When you are in large battles all the bullets, power-ups, and missiles are everywhere on the screen and it looks really good, it kinda reminded me of Geometry Wars in the harder parts. I liked the controls, they were well placed and not confusing. I played a match on XBL and had a great time, I figured out that blowing up ships is really fun.
I wish there were more ships, there is only 5, each having their different abilities that they specialize in. Other than that all I can really say about it is that its pretty fun but I can’t see myself playing this in a week, especially with all these games coming out in a short period of time.

Nice review. I was thinking about downloading the trial, but I don’t watch the show so I just decided against it. But if it’s anyway similar to Geometry wars, I may have to try it out.

I played the demo and thought it was alright. I’m a little afraid that it is too similar to Wing Commander on the Arcade, which was terrible. This review definitely helped.
