What Can Roadside Assistance Fix?
The specifics of what your roadside assistance covers will vary from plan to plan, but most cover:
- Tire changes
- Jump starts
- Battery replacements
- Towing

They usually cannot help with anything that requires a mechanic. In that case, your car will just be towed to the nearest mechanic or destination of your choice.
Is Roadside Assistance Worth Getting?
If you are on the fence about purchasing a roadside assistance membership, ask yourself these questions:
- Cost: How much does the service cost? Does the provider negotiate discounts on my behalf? Do those discounts counterbalance the cost of the service? Keep in mind that the average cost of a car tow is between $75 and $125.

With Life360's paid plans, you either receive 5 miles of free towing with our Gold Plan ($14.99/mo), or 50 miles of free towing with our Platinum Plan ($24.99/mo). Our free plan does not offer free towing.
All Life360 plans offer auto-enabled crash detection. To detect significant collisions, Crash Detection uses patented technology. For example, whenever the vehicle moves over 25 mph, it uses sensors on your phone to detect a significant impact. Your location sharing permissions must be set to "Always" for this feature to function.
Roadside assistance with Life360 covers free towing, refueling, tire changes, lockout services, crash detection, driver reports, and emergency dispatch. Life360 also offers numerous benefits for life beyond the road.
With Life360, you can use your roadside services with any member of your Circle. However, many other roadside assistance plans, such as AAA, are tied to the person with the membership and CANNOT be shared.
