Doom and Assault Heroes, will be available for half price starting on Wednesday. Both originally priced at 800 Microsoft Points, the two games will now be available for 400 pts.

• Rocky & Bullwinkle: Based on the classic cartoon series, this one is billed as a “fast and fun part experience” that includes characters from the show. Apparently, “micro-games” are the new mini-games. Microsoft says there are more than 100 of them in Rocky & Bullwinkle. Players will have the option of using the Xbox Live Vision camera play 25 of the games with gestures.

• Shotest Shogi: Japan’s popular board game, shogi, comes to Xbox Live Arcade with both single-player and multiplayer modes. Shotest Shogi is set in an “elegant Japanese room” and features 16 artificial intelligence opponents and an advanced tutorial.

• TiQal: All we really know about TiQal is that it’s yet another puzzle game based on matching like-colored blocks. Not many more details yet the graphics will be “sumptuous,” and the sound will be “pulse-pounding.”

• Wits & Wagers: We know it is a trivia game, but now we know it’s designed to be a party game in which players can win by making educated guesses, playing the odds or just knowing the interests of other players, whether local or online. And it will be compatible with the Big Button Pad controllers that come with Scene It!
