Unfortunately, Lost Planet: Colonies is not a sequel, but rather an expansion pack, a very large expansion pack.

The new edition of Lost Planet will be avaialable May 27th for $29.95.

What comes in this expansion pack? Sadly, there are no new single player missions. It’s the same campaign, except with different ways to play it such as having a scoring system a la Halo 3, and being able to skip straight to the bosses to try and defeat them.

The main new content will be in the multiplayer aspect of the game. Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition will feature new game modes, and maps.
