Now that Call of Duty 4 has been the #1 most played game on the 360 for 4 weeks straight, it adds another to the tally making it 5 weeks. Last week they [Infinity Ward] saw record numbers of people playing online mainly due to the new features and fixes. He has also updated us a tad on the new maps which could be a pack of four now instead of three.

There’s no official date on when the new maps will be hitting the stores but here’s what FourZeroTwo had to say about them.

The new DLC multiplayer maps are looking great and getting closer to a planned release, not to mention the fact that we might be adding an additional map bringing the total to FOUR new maps in the map pack. No news on whether they’ll be priced or not and no new release date announced.

Getting sick of Headquarters,Team Deathmatch and Search and Destroy? The patch made it so now they can go in and change the playlists at anytime. FourZeroTwo has been talking about these new game types on his blog for a few weeks now and they sound really sick, i can’t wait to try them out.

All this talk about DLC and new features really makes me want to go play this game right now, theres no doubt that Call of Duty 4 will remain Xbox Live champ for the next upcoming weeks.
