Well I have discovered some very interesting news. It is floating around the xbox.com forums that you have to be 17 years of age to purchase the newly released Halo 3 headset at Gamestop or EB Games!! So when I heard this I did some digging and sure enough one of my buddies who is the assistant manager at Gamestop here said it is true. He said when they scan the barcode into their computer they get prompted to check ID for age verification. What is this world coming to!!!!! Jack Thompson anyone?!?!?!
But yeah, thats messed up. I guess we can expect only 17 year olds talking on live(I wish)

thats dumb I understand that gamestop/ebgames is doing it to protect them selves but its stupid that the world has com to this With all the video games being blamed for violence I mean i play video games all the time and most are violent ones but i would never murder someone I balme bad parenting but thats just my opinion

The reason Gamestop and Ebgames have to id is because it represents a M rated game so they have to go by what the ESRB says. Or so I’ve heard.

Personally, I wouldn’t wish for only seventeen year olds talking on Live.
Typically, the most obnoxious and loud jerks that I run into are between seventeen and twenty-four.

I agree but this is only for the Halo 3 Headset so that does not really have anything to do with this.
