The new look Xbox.com website went up at around 1200PT Tuesday, and all in all I gotta say that it looks pretty sweet. The visual theme has changed to be more of a ‘360′ look (as opposed to the old design which matched the original Xbox design a bit more), and a few new things have been added. These include:
-
Redesigned Navigation: The navigation structure is a bit more straight forward to use
-
One click access to the My Xbox section, no matter where you are on the site (the menu in the top right of the image above is an example of this)
-
New search functionality has been added (Search is provided by the Windows Live search engine)
-
A bunch of other little things that make it a bit easier to use
All in all I would say it was a successful roll-out and a definite improvement over the old site. Well done Microsoft.

I personally love the new navigation… was it just me or did the old multi-layer nav bars mess you up (I usually had to try like 2 or 3 times before I could get over to “My forums” without my mouse sliding off and making it disappear….) well, now it is much nicer… For once, a nice update from Microsoft! (but it’s for themselves lol, so of course it would be good =P)

I’ve done that several times, accidentally clicking on the wrong thing. I love the new layout.

I like the new look of the site but I can’t help feeling the money spent on the redesign could have been more wisely spent on sourcing reliable internal parts for the console?!
