How Life360 helped Brandi Prove her Innocence
Our users at Life360 often share stories of how they’re using the app – whether it’s about how they are staying connected with their families or have peace of mind from monitoring new teenage drivers. The stories of gratitude we receive on a daily basis keeps us working hard to constantly improve our app. We recently connected with one of our users, Brandi S., who offered to share her story about how Life360 helped her contact her family after not being able to remember being in an accident.
Last July, Brandi was struck by a driver who ran a stop sign at an intersection and totaled her car. As soon as she was hit, she could not remember where she was. She didn’t remember hitting her head either. Fortunately, a man that passed by her earlier heard the accident and came back to help her and called 911.
When the man helped me contact my boyfriend and 911, I couldn’t even tell them where I was because I hit my head that hard.
Brandi downloaded Life360 a month before her accident mainly to stay connected with her family members and friends because they live far from her. She originally never intended to use it for any driving purposes, but luckily at the time of her accident she was using the free trial of Life360’s Driver Protect Plan.
Her family members got an alert from Life360 saying that a crash was detected and immediately drove to the hospital that Brandi was taken to. They were able to use Life360’s map to get directions to her exact location.
A few weeks later, Brandi went to dispute the fact that she was speeding with the police and Life360 unexpectedly came to her aid once again. Since she was using Driver Protect, Brandi had access to all the details of what happened on the day of her accident. She was able to refute the claims that said she was going 65mph in a 55mph zone, and proved she was actually only going 50mph according to Life360.
I am so thankful I could use Life360 to prove that I was being a good driver. I don’t know what I would have done without it because I could barely remember what happened in the first place!
We are so glad that we could help Brandi contact her family and get the justice she deserves. We wish you a speedy recovery! Thank you for letting us share your story.
